Andrea Calaon

Andrea Calaon has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Starting in 2000, Andrea worked as a Process Engineer at Techint Italimpianti Deutschland until 2002. From 2002 to 2005, Andrea worked as a Researcher at Computational Mechanics BEASY. In 2005, Andrea joined LT Calcoli as a Numerical Simulation Engineer before moving to Danieli Breda in 2006 to work in the same role. Andrea then transitioned to Tenaris Dalmine in 2007 as a Senior Researcher, where they coordinated and managed research projects focused on hot rolling technologies. In 2016, Andrea joined Technoprobe as an R&D Senior Engineer, specializing in mechanical and thermo-mechanical simulations for Probes, Probe-Heads, and Probe-Cards. In 2019, Andrea was promoted to the role of Senior Engineer at Product & Design Development, where they also took on additional responsibilities such as managing joint development projects and teaching FE simulations.

Andrea Calaon completed a PhD in Boundary Element Method for Engineering at Swansea University from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, Andrea obtained a degree in Material Engineering from Politecnico di Milano between 1993 and 1998. Andrea also attended Liceo Scientifico Enrico Fermi - Arona for secondary school, although the specific dates are not provided. In addition to formal education, Andrea has obtained several certifications including "Heat Transfer and Thermal-Stress Analysis with Abaqus" from ABAQUS in April 2014, "Thermomechanical Processing of Metals" from The University of Sheffield in June 2013, and "ABAQUS Explicit, Advanced Topics" from ABAQUS Italia in May 2008.
