James Barr

James Barr has extensive experience in various roles within the technology and defense sectors. James most recently served as the Senior Director of Cloud Strategy and Operations at TechTrend, where they provided leadership oversight for federal government cloud development and optimization projects. Prior to that, they worked at The Joint Staff as a Strategic Planner and Senior Information Systems Manager, where they played a critical role in budget and planning processes. James also has experience in management consulting and strategic planning at SphereAlytics Strategies, LLC, and in supporting the Department of Defense as a Senior Information Systems Strategy Manager. James has served in various positions within the United States Army Reserve and has worked on projects related to knowledge management, enterprise architecture, and international political-military policy. James'searlier experience includes positions at the U.S. Department of State and Abertron Corporation. Overall, James Barr has a diverse background in technology, defense, and strategic planning, with a focus on optimizing operations and driving organizational transformation.

James Barr has a comprehensive education history. James attended the University of Maryland where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics. Following that, they pursued an Executive Masters of Business Administration degree with a focus on International Business at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, which they completed from 2012 to 2014.

In 2015, James undertook a specialized professional education program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to tackle the challenges of Big Data. Although they did not attain a specific degree, they received a certification for completing the program.

In addition to their academic achievements, James has also obtained various certifications. In 2015, they earned a certification for successfully completing the "Tackling the Challenges of Big Data" program at MIT. James further enhanced their skill set with certifications including Microsoft Certified: Power Platform from Microsoft in June 2020, Joint Professional Military Education (I & II) from The Joint Staff in October 2018, and the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy certification from the Noncommissioned Officer Leadership Center of Excellence in May 2019.
