Michiel Van Gendt

Michiel Van Gendt has a diverse work experience, starting in 2017 as a Web Development Intern at Codifly. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Delta Manager at VTK Gent vzw, where they ran the student pub and performed maintenance tasks. From 2018 to 2019, they took on the role of Public Relations at VTK Gent vzw, negotiating sponsor contracts, coordinating relations with other associations, and organizing guest lectures. In 2019, Michiel joined In The Pocket as a DevOps Engineer, where they improved the CI/CD pipeline, deployed services with Kubernetes on Google Cloud, and tested API performance. Michiel then moved on to TechWolf in 2020, initially as a DevOps Engineer and later promoted to the position of Lead Software Engineer in July 2021.

Michiel Van Gendt completed their education at Ghent University. Michiel earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science Engineering from 2015 to 2018. Michiel then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science Engineering from 2018 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Michiel obtained certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Michiel became an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner in December 2020 and achieved the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate certification in May 2021.
