Mark Weber

Mark Weber has a diverse work experience that spans from 2006 to the present. Mark began their career as a Special Needs Counselor at SpringHill Camps in 2006. In 2007, they worked as a Documentary Film Producer, creating a film about Bangladesh and later collaborating on PovertyCure DVD Series and the documentary Poverty, Inc. Mark then interned at NBC Sports Group during the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.

In 2016, Mark joined MIT Media Lab as a Graduate Researcher for the Digital Currency Initiative, focusing on cryptocurrencies and their underlying technologies. Mark worked there until 2018.

Mark's journey continued with roles at prominent organizations. From 2018 to 2023, they held multiple positions at IBM, including Research Scientist and Strategy & Operations Lead at the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab. Following that, they invested in OmniML, which was later acquired by NVIDIA in 2021.

In 2023, Mark ventured into the world of venture capital, joining Tectonic Ventures as a Principal. Additionally, they became an Investor at Voyage AI and TIFIN. These roles involve supporting mission-oriented entrepreneurs and providing capital for their ventures.

Mark Weber has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mark also holds a Bachelor's Degree in the Program of Liberal Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
