Marjan Fathi

Marjan Fathi is a seasoned mental health professional with extensive experience in psychological counseling and mental health expertise. Currently serving as a Member of the Council of National and Regional Representatives for the International Association for Suicide Prevention since 2019, Marjan also works as a Psychology Counselor at Pendar Clinic and Avaye Daroon Clinic since 2014. At Tehran University of Medical Sciences since 2007, Marjan focuses on addiction prevention and mental health in disaster contexts. Previously, Marjan held the position of Vice President of the Iranian Scientific Society of Suicide Prevention from 2019 to 2022, contributing to initiatives aimed at identifying suicide risk factors and enhancing prevention programs. As a University Teacher at Aeen-e-zendegi University from 2012 to 2019, Marjan engaged in lecturing on mental health topics. Educational qualifications include a postdoctoral degree in Suicide from Iran University of Medical Science, a PhD in Health Psychology, a Master's in Personality Psychology, and a Bachelor's in Clinical Psychology from various institutions in Iran.
