Pippa Smart has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Pippa is currently the Head of Sustainability at Tekla Fabrics since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Relations Manager at Rodinia Generation from October 2020 to July 2021. In 2019, they held the role of Sustainability & CSR Project Manager at Ganni A/S, where they managed significant sustainability projects and achieved strategy sign-off from top-level management. Pippa also has experience as a Studio Manager at Gareth Neal Ltd, where they handled administration and communication tasks from August 2017 to August 2019. Additionally, they co-founded and served as a producer and workshop facilitator for The Drop, a podcast and workshop focused on sustainable futures in the fashion industry, from February 2018 to May 2019. Pippa has also worked as an Assistant Coordinator for Fashion Revolution and as a Workshop Designer & Facilitator for the Centre for Sustainable Fashion. Pippa contributed to the V&A Fashioned from Nature Exhibition as a research contributor, and they worked as a Project Manager and Project Assistant at Millington Associates. In 2014, they briefly worked as a Designer and Manufacturer for STORY mfg.
Pippa Smart began their education at Kingswood School, where they studied from 1997 to 2009. Pippa then went on to attend Wiltshire College from 2009 to 2010, where they obtained a Art and Design Foundation Diploma. Pippa continued their studies at the University of Brighton from 2010 to 2013, earning a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in 3D Design, specializing in Design and Craft. Their educational journey concluded at the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, where they pursued an MA degree in Fashion Futures and focused on the field of Fashion and Sustainability from 2017 to 2018.
