Michael Nixon

Michael Nixon has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Michael started their career in 1989 as a Managing Director at Redwood Properties, where they worked until 1992. From 1996 to 1999, they served as the President of Advance Display Technologies, Inc., a public company specializing in fiber optics-based display technology. Michael then worked as a Construction Manager at The Children's Center from 1998 to 2001. In 2003, they became the Chief Operating Officer at Blackard Group, Inc. until 2007. From 2007 to 2009, they were the Managing Director of Tekna Structures LLC. Following this, they worked as an Adjunct Professor of Mathematics at Galveston College starting in 2009. Finally, in 2013, they took on the role of Managing Director at Tekna Packaging, Inc., overseeing the consolidation of Tekna operating entities.

Michael Nixon began their education in 1977 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Semicondutor Device Physics - III-V Light Emitters. Michael completed this program in 1985. Years later, in 2011, they enrolled at the University of Houston-Clear Lake to pursue a Masters degree in Mathematics, which they completed in 2012.
