Garrett Cathers

Garrett Cathers has extensive work experience in commercial operations and sales, primarily in the medical industry. Garrett has held various leadership positions in companies such as TELA Bio, Stryker Orthobiologics, and Orthovita Inc.

At TELA Bio, Garrett has served as the Vice President of Commercial Operations since August 2020. In this role, they focus on expanding the customer base through business-to-business customer interaction and collaborates with the sales team to increase corporate consignment agreements. Garrett was also instrumental in setting up TELA Bio Ltd.

Prior to joining TELA Bio, Garrett worked at Stryker Orthobiologics as the Senior Director of Commercial Operations from July 2011 to December 2013. Here, they were responsible for business integration post-acquisition and continuous improvement of customer experience processes.

Before their time at Stryker Orthobiologics, Garrett spent a significant portion of their career at Orthovita Inc., where they held various roles. Garrett served as the Senior Director of US Commercial Operations from an undisclosed date to June 2011, leading the Sales Services Group and achieving significant growth and revenue expansion for the company. Garrett was also the Director of the Sales Services Group and the Senior Manager of Sales Services, overseeing operational functions and managing sales teams generating multi-million dollar revenue.

Garrett's early career includes roles at Orthovita as well, where they held positions such as Manager Sales Services, Sales Services Administrator, Marketing Associate, and Customer Service Representative.

Prior to their medical industry experience, Garrett worked briefly at Cathers and Associates Architects as an Assistant to the Office Manager and at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP as a Litigation Legal Assistant, where they drafted legal documents, supported trial preparation, and conducted document review.

Garrett Cathers completed their Bachelor's degree in Political Science at Hobart and William Smith Colleges from 1987 to 1990. Garrett also studied Politics and Social Policy during a year abroad at The University of Edinburgh in 1987-1988. Prior to that, they attended Germantown Friends School from 1982 to 1986.
