John Derr has been working in the telecommunications industry for over 20 years. John currently serves as the Senior Director of Numbering Administration Regulatory Affairs at the Telecommunications Industry Association.
Before joining the Telecommunications Industry Association, John was the Strategic Clinical Technology Advisor at Golden Living from January 2007 to December 2013. In this role, they used the visionary clinical technology infrastructure implemented as CIO to become the representative of LTPAC on many government and association committees representing Golden Living and LTPAC.
From January 2002 to December 2006, John served as the Executive Vice President of the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living. In this role, they were responsible for AHCA/NCAL's legislative and regulatory matters of long term care for the elderly. John was also asked by the Secretary of HHS to coordinate health information technology for implementation of the 2004 President Bush's Executive Order on Health Information Technology.
John Derr received a BS in Pharmacy from Purdue University and an Executive Certificate in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Indiana University Bloomington. John is a retired pharmacist.
John Derr reports to David Stehlin, CEO. They are on a team with Andrew Kurtzman - VP & General Counsel, Rebecca McVeigh - Senior Director, TIA QuEST Forum, and Tom McGarry - VP of Standards.
