Alister Bailey BSc(Hons) CEng MIET has over 25 years of experience in the field of electronics engineering. Alister began their career in 1993 as a Programme Manager at Philips Telecom/Simoco, where they ran the team that developed the first TETRA base station and its successors. In 2002, they became the RF Products Development Manager at Team Simoco Ltd, where they had sole responsibility for all RF products and accessories, and led the design of a replacement Base Station product range (TSF1000). Alister then moved to A B Communications Engineering in 2004 as a Consultant Freelance, delivering projects in the UK, Netherlands, China and Taiwan. In 2005, they joined Rohill Technologies BV as a Senior Product Specialist, where they were the lead RF designer of Rohill's R-8060 and R8070 generations of digital base station transceivers. In 2010, they became the Programme Manager at ip.access, where they successfully delivered IuH protocol enhancement for half million units in service with customers and delivered a 16 user and HSPA upgrade for “Enterprise cell” to customer labs within 6 months. In 2013, they moved to Sepura as the Base Station Technical Lead. In 2015, they became the Project Manager - Driver Performance Data Recorders at Cosworth, managing the development of an automotive OEM digital video and data recording product for race-driver training. In 2018, they joined A B Consulting Engineers Ltd as a Consultant - Electronics and Telensa as a Senior Hardware Systems Engineer.

Alister Bailey attended The University of Manchester from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Electronics.
