Born in 1966, Ara APRIKIAN is a graduate of the National School of Statistics and Economic Administration (ENSAE) and the Institute of Political Studies in Paris (Political, Economic and Social section).
He began his professional career in 1990 as a researcher at the advertising space buying group Horizon Média. He continued his studies at Médiamétrie in 1993.
In 1995, Ara APRIKIAN joined the TF1 Group in the Marketing Department as a research officer before becoming, in 1998, Deputy Director of Marketing and Prospective Programs. Three years later he took over the management of Games and Reality TV before becoming Director of Games, Variety and Entertainment in 2003.
In 2005, he joined the Canal+ pay-TV group, where he headed the Flux division before launching the encrypted Group's free channels D8, D17 in October 2012. He became Deputy CEO of the Canal+ group in charge of free-to-air television activities (D8 , D17 and itélé) and Chairman of D8 and D17.
In September 2015, he founded an Audiovisual Strategy consulting company: Massoco. Last October, the TF1 Group entrusted Ara APRIKIAN with an advisory mission concerning the editorial positioning of the Group's free channels.
In February 2016, Ara APRIKIAN was appointed DGA Contents. He is responsible for all television programs, acquisitions, production and broadcasting. This center aims to promote the creation of content, its circulation on the various channels as well as on MYTF1 and on all digital media.
In September 2019, Ara APRIKIAN took over responsibility for the newly created Music and Shows division and the subsidiary TF1 Films Production reported directly to her.
