Steven Meyer

Steven Meyer has a diverse and extensive background in the medical technology industry, with over 30 years of experience. Most recently, they have been working as the Sr. Director of R&D at Telos Health, a subsidiary of Imperative Care. In this role, they are involved in developing innovative, robotic-assisted technology for the treatment of ischemic stroke.

Prior to their current position, Steven held the same role at Imperative Care. Before that, they worked at ASAHI Medical Technologies, where they served as the VP of Operations. In this role, they were responsible for the development of a radiofrequency guidewire system used in treating coronary artery chronic total occlusions.

Steven also worked at CAVU Medical as the Sr. Director of Engineering Operations. There, they contributed to the development of a silicone-based implantable device used in conjunction with gastric band systems for the treatment of morbid obesity.

Earlier in their career, Steven served as the Sr. Director of Neurovascular R&D at Biomerix, where they led a team in developing a detachable embolization coil technology for treating intracranial aneurysms. Steven also worked at Paracor Medical, Intella (acquired by Goodman), XRT/Interventional Innovations (acquired by Medtronic), and Boston Scientific (SciMed Life Systems), where they held various engineering roles and contributed to the development of different medical devices.

Throughout their career, Steven has demonstrated expertise in project management, product development, quality systems implementation, and preclinical testing. Steven has a track record of successfully developing cutting-edge technologies and products in the medical technology field.

Steven Meyer attended the University of Minnesota from 1994 to 1999, where they were enrolled in the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program. Prior to that, from 1988 to 1991, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) with a minor in Business Management from the University of Minnesota. During the same period, they also pursued a minor in Business Management at the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management. Before joining the University of Minnesota, Steven studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota Duluth from 1986 to 1988.
