Chris Bernauer has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Chris began their career in 1993 at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, where they worked as a Manufacturing Specialist and later as an Engineering Specialist. In 2001, they joined Sportster & Buell Powertrain, where they served as the Powertrain Manager, responsible for delivering new engine and transmission programs. Chris then moved to Harley-Davidson Motor Company in 2004 as the Sportster Platform Director, overseeing the growth and strategic planning of the Sportster motorcycle line. In 2007, they joined Indian Motorcycle Company as the General Manager & VP of Sales, managing various aspects of the enterprise, including product development, distribution, marketing, and customer service. Chris later joined McKinsey & Company as an Expert in the Advanced Operations Group before returning to Harley-Davidson Motor Company in 2013. At Harley-Davidson, they held multiple roles, including General Manager Dealer Development and Consulting, General Manager Commercial Operations, and Global Sales Operations. In 2020, they joined Brunswick Corporation as the President of Harris Pontoons and is currently serving as the President and CEO of Temperature Systems, Inc., a distributor of HVAC equipment.
Chris Bernauer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Additionally, they also completed an MBA program at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. The exact start and end years for both degrees are not provided.
