Sean Murphy has over two decades of work experience, starting in 1998 as an Account Executive at IDG. From 2005 to 2010, they held various roles at CNET Networks, including Vice President of Corporate Sales. In 2010, they joined CBS Interactive as Vice President and General Manager before becoming Senior Vice President and General Manager of Download.com and CNET Content Solutions. In 2012, they became an Advisory Board Member at Huddler.com, which was later acquired by Wikia. In the same year, they also founded Andy OS, Inc and served as CEO until 2018. In 2018, they co-founded Tempest and also worked as Chief Operating Officer at Apptitude. Throughout their career, Sean has held leadership positions and brought extensive expertise in operations, sales, and business development.
Sean Murphy obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Oregon, where they studied from 1992 to 1996.
