Valerie Chen

Valerie Chen started their work experience as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Santa Cruz in September 2013, specializing in Protein Science and Mass Spectrometry. Valerie held this role until June 2020. In August 2020, they joined Nitrase Therapeutics as an Associate Scientist. Valerie worked there until April 2022. In April 2022, Valerie joined Tempest Therapeutics as a Scientist in the Biochemistry department. No end date is provided for their current role at Tempest Therapeutics.

Valerie Chen completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, from 2009 to 2013. Valerie then pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the same institution, from 2013 to 2020.
