Josh Berry

Josh Berry has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Josh is currently working at Temporal Technologies as an Engineering Manager, leading the SDK team to create a positive developer experience. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2023, they worked at Nutanix as a Staff Engineer, NC2, where they initially contributed as a founding engineer and later took over leadership of the project. During their tenure, they established a strong partnership with Microsoft and co-designed and developed custom solutions for NC2 on Azure.

From 2007 to 2019, Josh worked at Riverbed Technology in various roles. Josh served as a Senior Engineering Manager, managing the SteelFusion Blockstore and Prefetch teams and providing strategic input for other areas of the product. Josh also served as an Engineering Manager for the SteelFusion Blockstore team and provided technical direction across the entire SteelFusion product. Additionally, they started as a founding engineer for Riverbed's SteelFusion product, playing a significant role in its initial design and implementation.

Before joining Riverbed, they worked at LocuTour Multimedia, Inc. as a Software Engineer, where they designed, implemented, and supported two products from concept to release. Their responsibilities ranged from system administration to end-user technical support and UX research.

Josh began their career as a Trainee System Administrator at Cal Poly State University in 2003 and served as the Head Student System Administrator at Monte Vista High School from 1999 to 2001.

Josh Berry attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2001 to 2006. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. In May 2019, they also obtained certification as a Triplebyte certified Generalist Software Engineer from Triplebyte.
