John Guittar

John Guittar is a seasoned computational biologist with extensive experience in both academic and industry settings. Currently serving as a Senior Computational Biologist II at Tempus AI since August 2022, John previously contributed as a Computational Scientist in Clinical Development at Myriad Genetics from 2020 to July 2022. Prior to this, John held the position of Postdoctoral Scholar at Michigan State University from 2017 to 2020 and completed a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Michigan between 2010 and 2017, where John also worked as a graduate student instructor. John's early career includes roles such as Crew Lead for vegetation mapping and ecological surveys at the U.S. Geological Survey and Global Vision International, as well as a Research Scientist at Corporación para Investigaciones Biológicas and a Research and Technology Fellow at Gobabeb Research and Training Centre. John's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Grinnell College.
