Jane Davenport has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Jane is currently working at Ten Lifestyle Group as the Head of Americas Content and Editorial since January 2019. Prior to this, they pursued an MBA from Kellogg School of Management and Schulich School of Business from January 2017 to October 2018. Jane also has extensive experience in the field of journalism. Jane worked at Toronto Star as a Managing Editor from June 2012 to June 2016, where they led a team of 300 journalists and was responsible for the quality and performance of journalism on all platforms. Before that, they held the position of News Editor/Deputy National Editor at Toronto Star from June 2008 to July 2012, where they managed political coverage and production of print editions. Jane also worked as a Managing Editor at Metro Halifax, where they led the launch of a free daily newspaper and doubled its circulation from February 2008 to June 2008. Jane was the Sunday and Weeklies Editor at Halifax Daily News from January 2007 to February 2008, overseeing major print and digital projects. Additionally, they worked as a journalist at Montreal Gazette from September 2004 to December 2006.
Jane Davenport has a Master's degree in Business, which they obtained from the Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA program from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed a Graduate Diploma in Journalism at Concordia University from 1998 to 1999. Their undergraduate education was at Queen's University from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature.
