Michael Burton

VP, Value Engineering at Tendo

Michael Burton has over 20 years of experience in the life sciences industry. Michael is currently the Vice President of Value Engineering at Tendo. Prior to their current role, Michael held various leadership positions at Veeva Systems, Theorem Clinical Research, Wyeth, and ICON Clinical Research.

Michael Burton began their career in 1997 as a Clinical Research Associate at Kendle International. Michael then joined ICON Clinical Research in 1998 as a Senior Clinical Research Associate. In 2000, they transitioned to Wyeth where they served as the Associate Director of Technology Implementation. After seven years at Wyeth, Burton moved to Theorem Clinical Research in 2007 and served as the Senior Director of Clinical Data Management for five years. In 2012, they joined Veeva Systems, where they spent nine years as the Senior Director of Value Consulting before joining Tendo in 2021.

At Tendo, Burton is responsible for leading the value engineering team and developing Tendo’s value proposition strategy. Michael is also responsible for driving sales enablement initiatives and conducting customer workshops on the business value of Tendo’s solutions.

Michael Burton has a B.S. in Animal Bioscience from Penn State University.

Michael Burton reports to Dan Ballough, SVP, Engineering. Michael Burton works with Garrett Love - Software Engineer, Jun Chen - Senior Principal Software Engineer, and Bryan Sadler - Principal Engineer.
