Rodney Hobbs has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over 15 years. RODNEY has held various leadership roles in human resources in different companies. From 2020 to present, they have served as the Vice President of Human Resources for Tenneco, where they have led the Clean Air division and the Motor Parts division. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2020, Hobbs worked at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. RODNEY served as the Vice President of Human Resources for Stanley Engineered Fastening and later as the VP of Human Resources for the Hand Tools and Storage Group. Before that, from 2015 to 2017, they worked at Current, powered by GE, as a Human Resources Executive, where they focused on building the global commercial team. From 2013 to 2015, Hobbs was employed by GE, where they worked as a Global Human Resources Manager, overseeing the Government Affairs & Policy CoE and Mergers & Acquisitions shared services organization. From 2011 to 2013, they worked at GE Oil and Gas as a Regional Human Resources Manager for Sub Saharan Africa, leading the HR function across multiple countries. Lastly, from 2005 to 2011, Hobbs worked at GE Consumer & Industrial, where they held various HR roles, including Senior Human Resources Manager and Plant Human Resources Manager. RODNEY completed the Human Resources Leadership Program, which included three job assignments and cross-business projects. Overall, Hobbs has demonstrated expertise in strategic HR management and has worked in diverse industries and global settings.
Rodney Hobbs obtained their M.A. in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota, where they studied from 2003 to 2005.
