Kathleen Jacob Hilt

Kathleen Jacob Hilt currently serves as the Deputy Director of Communications and External Affairs at the Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, beginning in February 2024. Prior to this role, Kathleen worked as a Public Information Officer for the Tennessee Department of Revenue from July 2021 to February 2024. Kathleen's career in journalism includes positions as a FOX17 Reporter at Sinclair Broadcast Group from September 2018 to June 2021 and as a Reporter at FOX 5 Vegas - KVVU from August 2016 to August 2018. Kathleen also gained experience as a Multimedia Journalist at KEPR-TV from August 2014 to August 2016, where responsibilities included producing and anchoring weekend news and managing digital content. Kathleen's early career included an internship at WIS-TV from December 2012 to May 2013, focusing on writing and production tasks. Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina, earned in 2014.
