Don Hookom has a diverse range of work experience in the construction and engineering industry. Don worked as a Regional Sales Manager for Tensar International, where they focused on improving road quality through sub-grade improvement and pavement optimization. Don also played a role in growing the business and promoting the use of geogrid value in road construction. Before that, they were a self-employed Sales Professional, serving as a Consultant for various specialty manufacturers in the construction industry. Don provided construction products and solutions to highway construction, industrial, and commercial developments across a four-state area. Prior to that, they worked as a Sales Engineer for Contech, responsible for specification development and sales growth in the civil infrastructure products sector. Don developed relationships with civil engineers, municipal entities, highway contractors, and utility owners. Don'sfirst role was as a Marketing Director/Business Development at Bell Engineering, where they focused on marketing water and wastewater treatment plants to municipalities and utility directors. Don also expanded revenue streams in landfill remediation, power generation, mining, and university clients. Throughout their career, Don has consistently demonstrated a proactive approach to business development and relationship building.
Don Hookom has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. Don also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Bachelor of Arts (BS) from Hondros College, which they obtained through the University of Cincinnati and CCMS - Xavier. Additionally, Don has a Bachelor's degree in Business/Mortuary Science from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.
