Lukas-Karim Merhi has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2010 with a Research Assistant role at the Biomedical Optical Research Group, where they were awarded an NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award and published a journal manuscript. In 2011, they held a Research Assistant role at the Li Research Group, a Liaison role at the Laboratory of Optical Diagnosis and Imaging, and a Research Assistant role at the Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research. In 2012, they were a Teaching Assistant at Simon Fraser University and a Visiting Graduate Research Student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. In 2014, they were a Lab Manager at MENRVA Research Group and a Co-Founder/CTO at Practical Hospital Solutions. Finally, in 2017, they became the Founder & CEO of Tenzr Health.
Lukas-Karim Merhi has an extensive educational background. In 2011, they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Biomedical Engineering from Simon Fraser University. Lukas-Karim then continued their studies at Simon Fraser University, earning a Master of Applied Science (MASc) in Biomedical Engineering in 2014. In 2017, they completed the Spring Startup School Capital Raising Program. In 2018, they attended both Kauffman Fellows Academy and Techstars for Venture Deals. Lukas-Karim is currently enrolled in the Mayo Clinic ASU Medtech Accelerator for Healthcare Innovation.
