Lasse Tunturivuori

Lasse Tunturivuori currently serves as the Head of Automation Engineering and Head of Nuclear Safety Engineering at Teollisuuden Voima Oyj, with a career spanning from September 2008 to the present. Prior roles at Teollisuuden Voima Oyj include Team Leader for Risk Analysis, Expert in Risk Analysis, and Reliability Engineer, focusing on Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) for the Olkiluoto 1 and 2 nuclear power plant units, with specialization in areas such as internal fires, internal floods, external hazards, and Human Reliability Analysis (HRA). Prior to this, Lasse held research and teaching positions at Aalto University School of Science and Technology from April 2004 to August 2008, engaging in research on the optical properties of atomic clusters and teaching undergraduate courses. Initial experiences include trainee positions at Eka Chemicals in 2001 and 2002, focusing on the modeling of electrochemical processes. Lasse holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology, obtained between 1998 and 2004.
