Aku Toivonen

Aku Toivonen currently serves as a Board Member at Teoston kulttuurisäätiö from January 2024 and has extensive experience within the music and copyright sectors. Since September 2012, Toivonen has held multiple roles at Teosto, including Committee Chair and member of the Settlement Committee. As Executive Director of Suomen Musiikintekijät ry since 2012, Toivonen has contributed to music creators' advocacy. Additional board memberships include Musiikin edistämissäätiö MES, Tekijänoikeusneuvosto, and a previous role at Kopiosto. Toivonen has also served on the board of Music Finland, including as Chairman. A well-rounded educator, Toivonen's qualifications include degrees from the University of Turku and various institutions in management and leadership coaching.
