Roger Smith

Roger Smith has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Roger began their career in 1999 as an IT Engineer at Cisco Systems. In 2004, they joined StrikeIron as a Software Engineer, where they were part of a four-member team that delivered a variety of software products. In 2005, they Co-Founded and served as CTO of Todofono and also became an Application Architect at SugarCRM. At SugarCRM, they communicated with partners, evaluated technologies, planned integrations, managed controlled releases, and maintained technical guidance for the engineering team. In 2007, they founded AdSpeek. In 2011, they became Lead Engineer at PlotWatt and in 2014, they Co-Founded and served as CTO of GroundBreaker.co. In 2015, they became Chief Technology Officer at Platform Ventures and an Advisor at SilverBills LLC. Most recently, in 2019, they Co-Founded and became CEO of TermSheet, a single platform for managing and underwriting real estate deals, communicating with lenders, and collaborating with partners.

Roger Smith received their BS in Applied Mathematics - Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Roger then went on to obtain an MS in Machine Learning from Columbia University. Prior to that, they attended The Hill School. Roger also holds a CCNA certification.
