Christoph Rieke

Christoph Rieke is a Senior Geospatial ML Engineer at Terra Labs since May 2024, previously serving as a Senior Data Science Engineer at UP42 from September 2019 to February 2023, where responsibilities included developing geospatial processing and ML algorithms, leading Python SDK development, and collaborating with the product team on multiple projects. Prior experience as a Geospatial Data Scientist at GAF AG from September 2017 to June 2019 involved large-scale land cover and crop type projects, as well as leading a technical team for a subsidy control project. Christoph's earlier roles include a Master Thesis focused on deep learning for agricultural fields and research assistance at the University of Jena, consulting for Bountiful on grape yield forecasts, and internships at green spin GmbH and the German Aerospace Center. Christoph holds a Master’s Degree in Remote Sensing and Geoinformatics and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from Friedrich Schiller University Jena.
