Nicha Apichitsopa has worked in the field of machine learning since 2014. Nicha began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Biological Microtechnology and BioMEMS Lab, where they were advised by Prof. Joel Voldman. During their time there, they were responsible for assembling optical parts for the lensless digital holographic microscopy setup, creating device design layouts, fabricating microfluidic device prototypes, and designing and executing microfluidic experiments with test biological samples. In 2020, Nicha Apichitsopa began working as a Machine Learning Research Engineer at TerraClear Inc.
Nicha Apichitsopa completed their High School Diploma at Chatham Hall in 2010, graduating with a Rector's List distinction. Nicha then attended The Johns Hopkins University from 2010 to 2014, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Nicha continued their studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2016, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2020. In 2011, they also obtained a certification in Social and Behavioral Responsible Conduct of Research from the CITI Program.
