Walter Josephson

Walter Josephson has extensive work experience in the nuclear industry. Walter is currently working as a Principal Engineer, Nuclear Design at TerraPower LLC since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Engineer at M.H. Chew & Associates, Inc. from September 2019 to June 2022. Before that, they served as a Senior Technical Consultant at Polestar Technical Services from April 2014 to September 2019. Mr. Josephson's responsibilities at Polestar included calculations related to radiation shielding, nuclear criticality, atmospheric dispersion, and more. Walter also developed specialty computer software for scientific applications. Their earlier experience includes working as a Senior Project Engineer at WorleyParsons from February 2007 to April 2014.

Walter Josephson attended Washington State University from 1993 to 1997, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Walter then pursued Ocean Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1987 to 1989. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physics at Emory University from 1978 to 1982. Walter completed their high school education at Jupiter High School from 1974 to 1978.
