Placido Salinas

Placido Salinas is the Director, Services & Support at Territorium. Placido has previously worked as Supervisor de entrega de servicios at Axtel from October 2018 to December 2018 and as Gerente Entrega de Servicios at Alestra from November 2000 to March 2016.

At Alestra, Placido was responsible for ensuring the correct implementation of telecommunications services offered by the company, including internet, VPN, security, unified communications, videoconferencing, LAN management, and WLAN. Placido also oversaw circuit provisioning for transport facilities and service implementation for clients, managed a team of 4 supervisors and 40 staff engineers, and maintained relationships with telecommunications service providers.

During their time at Alestra, Placido implemented initiatives to improve the quality of information released to operations for service delivery, established internal controls to ensure timely billing of services, restructured the provisioning and delivery area to increase the number of service delivery agendas, and restructured the on-site installer team to efficiently handle equipment installation and troubleshooting.

Placido also developed teams focused on short- and long-term objectives, implemented continuous improvement forums to identify areas of opportunity and define action plans to address them, and initiated strategies to ensure revenue generation. Some of their key accomplishments include successfully implementing these initiatives to improve quality control and efficiency within the company.

After completing a degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Placido Salinas pursued a career in telecommunications engineering. Placido later received certification from PeopleCert in ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management.

Placido Salinas reports to Guillermo Elizondo, CEO & Co-Founder. They work with Kiko Suarez - VP, Higher Education & Workforce Development, Alejandro Jaimes - VP, Sales & Marketing, and Gerardo Saenz - CTO & Co-Founder.
