Jens Schmidt has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Jens'smost recent position was as the CTO of TES-H2, where they played a pivotal role in driving the green energy transformation. Prior to that, they co-founded ReCarbonX AG, a Swiss-based company that offers innovative digital solutions for tracking sustainability and eco-footprint of products. Jens also served as the founder and managing director of TREXCARE UG, where they provided cutting-edge solutions in blockchain, web-based services, and artificial intelligence.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Jens held various leadership roles at Dow Chemical Company. Jens served as the Corporate Technology Fellow, supporting all businesses and geographies globally in areas of process and technology innovation. Jens also chaired DOW's Process Technology Innovation Council and led the global sustainable technology team, driving sustainability transformations and reducing environmental footprints. Additionally, Jens held positions as the Global Manufacturing 4.0 Platform Lead for Sensors/Process Control/Process Automation and as a Senior M&E Fellow/Global Technology Director.

Jens'searlier roles at Dow included Associate Technology Director for the HPPO process, Associate Production Director for Bisphenol/Liquid Epoxy Resin, Production Leader for Chlorinated Polyethylene, Sr. Production Specialist, and Process Engineering Specialist/Project Lead. Throughout their career, Jens Schmidt has demonstrated expertise in technical problem-solving, innovation, and the development of new products and processes.

Jens Schmidt's education history starts with their enrollment in Hamburg University of Technology from 1992 to 1998, where they pursued a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering. Jens furthered their studies at the same institution and earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from 1998 to 2002. Demonstrating a commitment to professional development, Jens Schmidt pursued additional training at DOW Chemical Six Sigma Training from 2003 to 2004 to acquire a Six Sigma Black Belt. In 2007, they enrolled in the Northwood University - DeVos Graduate School and completed their Executive MBA in 2009.
