Matthew Tagupa has a diverse work experience starting from 2012 as an Assistant Program Director at the City of Sacramento. Matthew worked their way up from Camp Aide to Recreation Aide to Recreation Leader to Assistant Program Director, acting as an intermediary between the Program Director and the team of Recreation Leaders/Aides.
In 2017, Matthew worked as a Student Intern at the City of West Sacramento, where they assisted the Project Manager with various projects for the building, engineering, public works, and parks & recreation departments, including A.D.A.
From 2019 to 2020, Matthew served as a Student Intern at LDR Ventures, LLC, where they helped launch the company's It's Easy Travel website. Their objective was to use Salesforce to map online forms to the company's database.
In 2020, Matthew joined Options For Youth as an Intersession English Tutor, instructing students in English and advising Academic Recovery teachers on student conduct and performance.
From June to July 2021, Matthew continued their tutoring role at Options For Youth, this time as an Intersession Math Tutor, instructing students in Mathematics and providing guidance on student development.
Currently, Matthew is employed at Tesco Controls, Inc. as a PLC Applications Engineer I. Their responsibilities include writing PLC operating programs based on control specifications, publishing concise operating instructions, and providing technical assistance for PLC programs.
Matthew Tagupa obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued an Associate of Science degree in Physics at Cosumnes River College from 2016 to 2018. Starting in 2014, they also attended Sacramento City College, where they earned an Associate of Science degree in Mathematics, which was completed in 2018.
