Edith Hermans

Edith Hermans has extensive work experience in intellectual property and innovation management. Edith worked at Tessenderlo Group from 2012 to 2019, where they held the position of VP Innovation and IP. In this role, they were responsible for leading the IP strategy and organization within the company. Edith also managed cross-functional and cross-business growth initiatives. Prior to their role at Tessenderlo Group, they worked at DSM Dyneema from 2007 to 2012 as an Intellectual Asset Manager, where they focused on maximizing the value of the company's intellectual assets. Edith also has experience in marketing and sales, having worked at DSM Corporate Marketing Office from 1997 to 2006 as a Senior marketing & sales consultant. Additionally, Edith has a background in patent law, having worked as a patent attorney at DSM Corporate Marketing Office from 2000 to 2005.

Edith Hermans received a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from UHasselt in 1990. Edith then pursued a M.Sc. in Chemistry at KU Leuven from 1988 to 1992. Subsequently, they obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from KU Leuven in 1997.
