Akhilesh Dhanani

Akhilesh Dhanani, PhD, has a strong background in NGS and genomic assays. Akhilesh is currently working as a Principal Scientist at Tessera Therapeutics since July 2023. Prior to this role, they held the position of Senior Scientist at the same company from March 2022 to July 2023. Before joining Tessera Therapeutics, Akhilesh worked at Dalhousie University, where they served as a Research Associate and IMR Assistant Manager from June 2019 to April 2022, a Research Associate and IMR Technician from September 2017 to May 2019, and as a Postdoctoral Fellow from April 2014 to August 2017.

Akhilesh Dhanani, PhD has a strong educational background in the field of microbiology. Akhilesh obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Microbiology from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, completing their studies from 2008 to 2014. Prior to their doctoral studies, Akhilesh earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biotechnology from Bangalore University, studying from 2005 to 2007. Akhilesh began their education at Saurashtra University, Rajkot, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biotechnology from 2002 to 2005. In addition to their academic achievements, Akhilesh has also completed a certification in Project Management Skills for Leaders from LinkedIn.
