Michael Casey has a diverse work experience in the IT field. Michael started their career as a Computer Support Technician at BYU FHSS Computing Services in September 2013 and then became an Assistant Systems Administrator in March 2015. In this role, Michael supported the computing systems of the department. In February 2017, they joined TestOut Corporation as an IT Service Desk Technician, providing technical support to internal users. Eventually, they were promoted to the role of an IT Systems Engineer in October 2018. In this position, Michael managed various aspects of the client-facing Azure environment, including monitoring and resolving critical outages, deploying code updates, and improving security. Michael also maintained on-premise Hyper-V clusters and supported a wide variety of internal services. Additionally, Michael administered several cloud services and mentored new helpdesk employees.
Michael Casey completed their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Brigham Young University in 2019. Before attending university, they received an International Baccalaureate from Grimsley High School between 2006 and 2010. In addition to their formal education, Michael obtained the certification of Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate from Microsoft in October 2021.
