Christopher Kirkos has extensive work experience in software engineering and computer science. Christopher is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at TetraScience since 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Technology Lead at Network Leader starting from 2016. From 2014 to 2022, they worked at Wanderu, Inc, where they held multiple roles including Principal Software Engineer and Software Architect. At SAIC, they worked as a Sr. Software Engineer from 2011 to 2014, where they rebuilt a satellite signal geolocation system and created various applications and pipelines. Christopher also worked as a Computer Scientist at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory from 2009 to 2011. Before that, they were a Computer Scientist at the Office of Naval Research from 2008 to 2009, where they managed a research portfolio and conducted R&D on network analysis and language processing. Additionally, they worked at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) as a Computer Scientist and Systems Engineer from 2006 to 2009, where they built applications, analyzed data, and oversaw the development of diagnostic aircraft systems. Their early career includes a position as a Systems Administration / Software Engineer at Deutsche Bank from 2004 to 2005.

Christopher Kirkos earned their MS in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology from 2001 to 2008. Christopher also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Computational Social Science from George Mason University from 2009 to 2011. In addition, they have earned several certifications, including Problem Solving (Basic) from Hacke in 2020, and Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Computing for Data Analysis from Coursera in various years.
