Vinay Joshi

Vinay Joshi has a diverse work experience in the field of data architecture and engineering. Vinay is currently working as the Principal Data Architect at TetraScience since 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Data Architect and Founding Engineer at DataMorph.ai from 2016 to 2023, where they built a low code/no code platform called "DataMorph" to simplify data engineering. At the University of California Office of the President, Vinay worked as the Principal Data Engineer UCOP from February 2022 to August 2022, where they solved schema evolution issues using DataMorph Spark Schema processor and Delta Engine. Vinay also used a medallion architecture to create golden datasets in a short period of time. Before that, Vinay held the position of Principal Data Architect at Nordstrom in 2019 and Experian from 2017 to 2019, where they designed and delivered data platforms to support streaming and batch data ingestion. Vinay also played a key role in building the "Oxygen Framework," a modern data framework, at Experian. Additionally, Vinay has worked as a Data Architect at Airbnb, a Solution Architect at Cloudera and Confluent, and the CTO at Auric Consulting Services. Throughout their career, they have focused on solving various customer objectives and achieving key results through the development of innovative data solutions and platforms.

Vinay Joshi holds a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, which was obtained from 1992 to 1994. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree at COEP Technological University from 1988 to 1992. Their secondary education was at Loyola High School and Junior College, Pune, from 1976 to 1988. In terms of additional certifications, Vinay Joshi is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), a Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional from Databricks, and a Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka from Confluent. Vinay also obtained the Academy Accreditation - Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals from Databricks.
