Ahmed Amer

Ahmed Amer has a diverse work experience, starting in 2015 as an intern at The Ogden Trust. Ahmed then worked as a fundraiser for Oxfam, where they excelled in persuading members of the public to contribute to charity. In 2016, Ahmed served as a transition mentor at UCL, providing support to first-year undergraduates with various concerns. Moving on, Ahmed completed a Postgraduate Teacher (PGCE) program at the University of Cambridge, during which they conducted research on improving classroom dialogue and student motivation. Ahmed then worked as a Physics teacher in different UK secondary schools through Smart Teachers Agency. Ahmed also tutored in Physics and Mathematics through Hubble Tutoring and contributed a portion of their pay to fund tuition for disadvantaged students. In 2019, Ahmed co-founded Tevent, a company that aims to make interactive webinars and gatherings accessible to organizations of any size. Additionally, they organized and hosted alternative comedy nights at Comical Comedy, attracting established names in the comedy industry.
