Jared Smith

Jared Smith, M.Ed. has a diverse work experience in the education field. Jared is currently working as the Principal at Texans Can Academies. Prior to this, they worked as the Academic Dean at Kennedale High School from 2019 to 2021. Before that, they served as the Assistant Principal - House Principal at DESOTO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT from 2016 to 2019. Additionally, Jared has experience working in the Dallas Independent School District, where they held the role of Assistant Principal from 2010 to 2015. Jared also worked as a Choir Director and Music Teacher in the same district from 2006 to 2010, where they focused on providing individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.

Jared Smith, M.Ed. has a Bachelor's Degree in Music Teacher Education from The University of Texas at Arlington (2002-2005). Jared then pursued a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from LeTourneau University (2008-2010). Following this, they completed a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Administration and Supervision from Capella University (2011-2017). Jared is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education - EdD in Education from Trident University International (2022-2024). Jared also holds the certification of Principal EC-12 from the Texas Education Agency.
