Jeff Hudgens is a dedicated public safety professional with extensive experience in firefighting, emergency medical services, and law enforcement. Currently serving as a Police Officer and dual-purpose K9 handler for the City of Van since October 2020, Hudgens also holds the position of Captain in the Fire Department for the City of Tyler, where responsibilities include oversight of Station 3C at the Airport and previous roles in training. As an instructor with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, Hudgens teaches industrial firefighting techniques, and has been actively involved with the City of Van Volunteer Fire Department since 1996. Past roles include Deputy with the Van Zandt County Sheriff's Department and Lead Medic with ETMC EMS. Hudgens holds an Emergency Medical Technician degree from Tyler Junior College and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Fire Protection from Weatherford College.
