Matthew Dykstra

Matthew Dykstra is an experienced emergency management professional and educator with a diverse background spanning over two decades. Currently serving as an Instructor at Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service - TEEX, Matthew holds extensive operational experience as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the City of Madison, WI, and previously served as the Assistant Chief of Emergency Management for the Wisconsin Air National Guard. Matthew has held various leadership roles, including Director of Emergency Management & EMS for Portage County, where responsibilities included program development and compliance with emergency management regulations. Matthew's educational credentials include a Master's Degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from Georgetown University and multiple Bachelor's and Associate's degrees related to fire and emergency response management.
