Geoff Barr

Division Chief—election Integrity at Texas Attorney General

Geoff Barr is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Division Chief of Election Integrity for the Texas Attorney General since March 2012, having previously held the role of Deputy Division Chief for Criminal Prosecutions. With a background as an Assistant Attorney General, Geoff Barr specialized in prosecuting complex homicides and human trafficking cases. In addition to legal practice, Geoff Barr has been an Adjunct Professor at Texas State University since August 2016, teaching Courts and Criminal Procedure. Prior roles include Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, where successful human trafficking convictions were secured in federal court, and Elected District Attorney for Comal County, Texas, where significant criminal convictions were achieved. Geoff Barr holds a Doctor of Law from St. Mary's University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from The University of Texas at Austin.
