Lee Guyette's work experience includes various roles in different organizations. Lee started their career as an Electronics and Software Engineer at General Dynamics in 1986 and later joined the United States Department of Defense as a Senior Electronics and Software Engineer in 1991.
In 1994, Lee Guyette moved to Compaq Computer, where they held positions such as Project Manager, Manager of Project Management, and Manager of Project Engineering.
From 1999 to 2003, they worked at Dell as a Senior Program Manager, leading global customer experience, usability, and technical resolution programs. Lee also served as the Manager of Project Management, where they supervised a team of Project Managers and implemented warranty cost reduction programs. In their last role at Dell, they were the Senior Manager, responsible for developing and providing online solutions to internal and external customers.
After leaving Dell, Lee Guyette joined the Texas Office of the Secretary of State in 2009 and worked as a Development Manager. Lee led the planning, development, and implementation of the TEAM enterprise software for managing statewide elections and voter data. Lee also managed the software development organization and transitioned the team to formal development processes.
Since 2013, Lee Guyette has been associated with the Texas Attorney General's office, where they have held several roles. Lee served as the Change Management Manager, responsible for building the IT change management process and leading change management across the organization. Lee also worked as the Database Manager, overseeing the Texas Child Support Enforcement System databases.
In recent years, Lee Guyette has held positions such as Software Tools Manager, Artificial Intelligence Researcher, and DevOps Engineering Manager at the Texas Attorney General's office. Currently, they serve as the Director of Mission Control and Operations Engineering.
Lee Guyette obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering from California State University, Fullerton in the years 1981 to 1986. Lee later pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering from the same university, completing it between 1988 and 1991. Additionally, Lee Guyette received a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2009. Lee has also acquired multiple certifications related to Data Strategy, Cloud Architecture, Leadership Skills, IT Automation, and Database Management through LinkedIn between 2022 and 2023.
