Miguel A. Calix

Miguel A. Calix has a robust background in security and law enforcement, with extensive experience spanning several decades. From April 2017 to July 2024, Miguel served as the Security Operations Manager at Texas Children's Hospital, following a tenure as a Security Officer Lieutenant. Prior to this, Miguel had a distinguished career with the Houston Police Department from August 1984 to February 2016, holding positions such as Senior Police Officer and Financial Crimes Investigator in the Financial Crimes Unit. Miguel's expertise includes the investigation and supervision of sensitive internal criminal and administrative cases involving City of Houston employees and contractors, showcasing strong collaboration with law enforcement at all levels and private industry stakeholders. Additionally, Miguel served in security roles at Texas Children's Hospital-West Campus and Methodist Hospital-West Campus from February 2007 to January 2016. Miguel is educated at Houston Community College and New York City Technical College in Brooklyn, New York.
