Christian Alvarado

Christian Alvarado is a co-founder and managing partner at CB Capital, an investment and real estate development firm based in Austin, Texas, since January 2014. Additionally, Christian serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, appointed by Governor Greg Abbott, since May 2021, and previously held a similar position at the Texas Department of Information Resources from January 2018 to May 2021. Prior to these roles, Christian was Chief of Staff and Legal Counsel to Chairman Barry Smitherman at the Railroad Commission of Texas from September 2011 to March 2014, and worked as an attorney at Jackson Walker LLP from September 2009 to September 2011. Christian also served on the Board of Directors for the Underground Facility Notification Corporation, having been appointed by Governor Rick Perry. Christian holds a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Texas.
