Joylise A. Mitchell

Joylise A. Mitchell is a Laboratory Compliance Coordinator at The Texas Heart Institute since December 2022, serving as IACUC Vice Chair. Previously, Joylise held the role of Sr. Research Coordinator at MD Anderson Cancer Center from October 2020 to December 2022, and also worked as a Laboratory Manager/Research Assistant II and Research Assistant. Joylise's experience includes managing multiple rodent colonies and teaching a college course at Tuskegee University from March 2015 to October 2020, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing research facilities and developing hands-on learning activities. Earlier roles involved research at the Center of Cancer Research and animal care at the Oakland Zoo. Joylise holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences, both from Tuskegee University.
