Dr. Stephanie Coulter is a long-time advocate of women’s health and promotes the development of diagnostic tools; treatments and prevention strategies that can improve cardiovascular care for women. She serves as Texas Heart Institute's Assistant Medical Director, founding Director of the Women’s Center for Heart & Vascular Health, the Director of Cardiology Education, and the Program Director of the THI Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.
Dr. Stephanie Coulter graduated from Texas A&M and earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center Medical School in Houston. She completed her internship and residency at Harvard Medical School Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston and a fellowship in general cardiology at Harvard Medical School Massachusetts General Hospital. She then pursued an advanced echocardiography fellowship at Massachusetts General and completed a fellowship in clinical epidemiology and clinical trials at Harvard Brigham and Women’s. She is a member of many professional societies, including the AMA, the American College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology, and the American Heart Association.
