Ed Coates

Ed Coates is an experienced professional with a longstanding career in benefits and compensation management. At Texas Mutual Insurance Company since September 1999, Ed holds the position of Vice President of Benefits and Compensation, overseeing a variety of compensation and benefits programs. Since September 2016, Ed has served as a Board Member and President of the Board for U.S. Masters Swimming, with previous roles including Chair of the Compensation and Benefits Committee and VP of Local Operations. Prior to these roles, Ed was the Board Chair for the South Texas Local Masters Swim Committee from 2006 to 2016 and worked as a Benefits Consultant at Benefits Design, Inc. from 1994 to 1999, designing and implementing benefits plans for clients. Ed holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, obtained between 1984 and 1989.
