Arnav Kak

Arnav Kak is a dedicated researcher currently serving as a Research Assistant at Scottish Rite for Children since May 2021. Previously, Arnav held roles as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, where responsibilities included investigating neuroimmune signaling related to Alcohol Use Disorder, and at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, focusing on MR physics and analyzing atherosclerotic plaques. Prior research experience includes statistical analysis at Baylor College of Medicine related to COPD and pulmonary hypertension, DNA damage studies at Houston Methodist, and developing protocols for maternal health research at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Arnav holds a BSA in Neuroscience and Plan II Honors from The University of Texas at Austin and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree at UT Southwestern Medical Center, expected in 2024.
