Sarp Sahin is currently a Research Intern at the NeuroGenomics and Informatics Center (Ibanez Lab) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, focusing on transcriptomic changes related to Parkinson’s Disease. Previously, Sarp served as a Research Intern at the Movement Science Lab of Scottish Rite for Children, where notable achievements include co-authoring manuscripts on concussion history and biomechanics. Experience also includes a role as a Bioinformatics Intern at the Arizona Cancer Evolution Center, analyzing single-nucleotide variants in patients with Barrett's Esophagus. Earlier internships at Washington University encompassed advanced computational methods related to gene expression analysis. Sarp has also served as a U.S. Soccer Regional Referee and held a leadership role as Texas HOSA State Secretary while pursuing education at Washington and Lee University.
